The New York Red Bulls have secured a new partner for the naming rights of their stadium.
The Major League Soccer 2024 Eastern Conference Champions revealed a 13-year naming rights agreement with Sports Illustrated Tickets on Wednesday. The Red Bull Arena in Harrison, New Jersey, with a capacity of 20,000, will now be known as Sports Illustrated Stadium following the immediate implementation of the deal. This partnership represents the first stadium naming rights deal in the history of the sports publication.
David Lane, CEO of Sports Illustrated Tickets, expressed, “For 70 years, Sports Illustrated has represented the best in sports and culture.” He further stated, “Through this partnership, we aim to showcase our vast portfolio of media, live event, ticketing, hospitality and fan experiences.”
The financial details of the agreement were not disclosed. Additionally, as part of the deal, Sports Illustrated Tickets will become the official ticketing partner for all events held at the stadium starting from the 2026 season. This includes New York Red Bulls games, Gotham FC games, international soccer matches, as well as concerts and other events.
In a move to enhance the fan experience, Sports Illustrated Tickets will provide stadium attendees with a digital Sports Illustrated fan cover to take home.
This naming rights agreement signifies a new phase for the renowned sports magazine, which was established in 1954. Despite facing challenges in recent years, including significant layoffs and changes in ownership, Sports Illustrated is currently under the ownership of Authentic Brands Group and is published by Minute Media.
Sports Illustrated Tickets, which was launched in June 2021, has quickly grown to offer over $2.5 billion worth of tickets and access to more than 50 million sports, theater, and concert tickets.
David Lane emphasized, “Sports Illustrated Stadium is much more than just a sports and concert venue — it’s a celebration of history, innovation, and the unforgettable experiences that unite us all.”
